Everyone knows they need the right tool for the job, but sometimes you don't know what tool you need. The CHXBRX is the tool you don't know you need. It's an amazing combination of lightweight and durable, and has made every other stock controller feel like an actual brick.

As a Ninja Gaiden player, I need to be able to hit two inputs simultaneously as fast as possible, and CHX tuned my controller to feel like it takes the exact same amount of force to hit both buttons. I have bought other controllers and tinkered with my own and I can not find or recreate the ease of use this one had straight out of the box. I will only speedrun with this controller because I don't want to wear it out on casual games.

I got the full package with my controller as well. The cable upgrade is extremely underrated as it's very lightweight and doesn't have friction with things it touches like the rubber cable does. I also got the hydrodipping, which in addition to looking awesome, gives a great textured feel to keep the controller in one spot in your hands. Both combined, the controller never distracts me when I'm trying to focus, and that's the way it should be.

Whether you want to speedrun or just want a reliable and comfortable controller for casual play, I would expect you'd be like me and have no regrets buying a CHXBRX.

I've been chasing the perfect controller for ages. I've acquired controllers from multiple people, and they're all good at certain things--but my hands limit how long I can play NES games. Even very broken-in OEM controllers would give my left hand and arm fits after a couple hours of play--and they tended to miss inputs. I spoke with CHX42 about a super light touch dpad, and he was incredibly patient and worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I needed.

Let me tell you, this d-pad is incredible. I feel like I need less than a third the pressure to keep it held down than I do for my otherwise lightest controller. I put an hour into it this afternoon, after playing until my hands hurt yesterday (so I normally need to go very light.) I felt zero pain playing Rush'n Attack, which is incredibly d-pad heavy (including up to jump)--and I felt like I could've kept going for several more hours.

On top of all that, it's incredibly precise. I could pull off tricks quickly and consistently that I simply can't do with some other controllers. It mashes well, and it looks good while doing it. I think I've found my new daily use brick. Thanks CHX! -ItsAlti

Since CHX42 plays NES he knows his controllers, he made me a one of a kind controller for use with my NES games. He can custom design the d pad for soft or stiff feel depending on your gameplay. He also has all kinds of colors of a and b buttons so don't hesitate to ask for your favorite colors! I know have 3 NES controllers so I can retire my original metroid controller because its going out. Thanks CHX!

Are you a speedrunner or casual gamer who enjoys the challenge and quirkiness of playing games on original NES hardware? You’ve already mastered these games to the point they have become mundane and repetitive. The drift, mushy d-pads and missed inputs add a new level of challenge to the game. If this sounds like you, stay away from CHXBRX™. With CHX’s process of asking the gamer what they want in a controller, careful selection of OEM components that are retooled and combined to fit the exact criteria requested, and the thorough testing he provides, it’s nothing short of guaranteed that you’re going to be playing games faster, smoother, and with less problems than ever before. My consistency in speedruns like Metroid has increased with little improvement on my own part, purely credited to this controller. I’m trying to get better here, not pay to win with fine tuned precision hardware such as this. Stay away.

If you need a quality NES controller, CHX42 will absolutely make sure you get one. I was using old, worn out controllers that were negatively affecting my game play. I attempted to repair them, but couldn't get them just right. After hearing CHX42's controllers being recommended by top speed runners, I asked him if I could purchase one. He asked what exactly I wanted the controller to do, and he calibrated it just right so that I had a perfectly fine-tuned controller, specific to playing Ninja Gaiden. After he repeatedly tested it out, the controller was promptly shipped out to me. My game play has improved dramatically, and I won't use any other controller. Thank you, CHX42!!

These buttons. Dude. I do not know how you did it but the depth/responsiveness of these buttons I immediately fell in love with. Like it's just right so kudos to you but this is perfect for my playing style and I even gained some consistency that was missing with the other controllers I was using. Also not important to playing but the purple black - yeah thats rad. On to the dpad - like I said on TRR's stream today this actually helped my hand out. I play bass/guitar, type on the computer, cycle and lift weights - all things that should keep my grip pretty strong but these other controllers I was really fighting to hold right for long sessions. In fact before the controller showed up I had to take a couple days break cause my left hand was cramping really badly. The dpad on this one is again (I hate to reuse an adjective) but perfect. Simon just goes where I tell him and I don't have to try to break the dpad in half to make him do that. Overall I am super happy about this controller and can't thank you enough!
